Doctrine

The McCain Standard

Version 1.4 · Issued September 4, 2026

We sell nothing we cannot document, and we tell you what we know — including what we don't.

Preamble

The longevity industry asks for an unusual amount of trust.

People come to us making decisions about their own biology, often with incomplete evidence, in a market where claims are easy to make and difficult to verify. Much of what is sold in this category is sold on confidence rather than documentation.

We have chosen a different obligation.

The McCain Standard is what a product must meet before it earns a place in our catalog, and what we owe you once it does. It is not a description of our aspirations. It is the rule we operate by, written so that our failures to meet it would be visible.

A standard that cannot be failed is not a standard. This one can be.

Origin

These principles did not begin in a laboratory. They began in a gymnasium, where the distance between adequate and exceptional was measured in fractions, and where the fundamentals were unglamorous, relentless, and the only thing that ever worked.

In elite sport, shortcuts always reveal themselves. Health is no different. It only takes longer.

This document is that lesson, applied to a company.

What products can do

We sell products, so what follows is against our interest to say.

Nothing we sell will ever matter as much as what you do every day. Sleep, training, nutrition, a well-trained mind, and the patience to sustain them for decades will account for most of your result. Everything in our catalog works at the margin of that. The margin is worth pursuing — we would not be here otherwise — but it remains the margin.

A company that forgets this starts selling shortcuts, because shortcuts are easier to sell. We would rather you buy less from us and do more.

Scope

The McCain Standard applies to every product McCain Longevity offers. There are no exempt categories.

It applies today to peptides, supplements, and exosome products. It will apply on the same terms to diagnostic testing, medical devices, regenerative therapies, and clinical services. What we test and what we document will differ — a diagnostic assay is not evaluated the way a sterile injectable is. What we promise will not.

When we enter a new category, we extend this document. We do not write a second one.

Precedence

Sooner or later this Standard will conflict with what is good for the business. A document that pretends otherwise is not worth signing.

When the two conflict, the Standard prevails.

In practice this means we will be out of stock rather than uncertain. If we cannot verify a lot, we do not sell it, even when the alternative is an empty shelf and a customer who goes elsewhere. Substituting an unverified batch to preserve availability is the most ordinary failure in this industry, and the one we are most determined not to commit.

We would rather lose a sale than spend the trust it was made with.

What this asks of our partners

Manufacturers, laboratories, and suppliers who work with McCain Longevity are working inside this document, whether or not they have read it.

We expect verifiable manufacturing conditions, and access sufficient to verify them. We expect notice of changes to formulation, process, or facility before they take effect rather than after. We expect our independent testing to confirm what your documentation says.

We do not ask partners to meet the Standard as a favor. We ask because a product cannot meet it if the people who make it do not.

Where a partner cannot or will not meet these expectations, we end the relationship.

What this asks of us

Everyone who works here inherits an obligation from this document.

No one at McCain Longevity is authorized to make a claim we cannot document, to release a lot we cannot verify, or to describe evidence as stronger than it is — regardless of what a launch date, a supply gap, or a revenue target would seem to require.

Anyone here may halt a product. No one is required to seek permission first, and no one will be penalized for stopping something that later proves to have been fine. The cost of an unnecessary pause is small and recoverable. The cost of the alternative is neither.

Governance

The ratchet
This Standard may be raised at any time. It cannot be lowered without a dated, published amendment stating what changed and why. Trust rarely erodes by announcement; it erodes by quiet revision. This clause makes quiet revision unavailable to us.
Versioning
Every amendment produces a new version, a date, and a changelog entry.
Authority
Amendments require the approval of the custodian of the Standard, who is a named person rather than a department.

I have put my name on this document because a standard no one has signed is only a policy. If we fail to meet it, the failure is attributable to someone, and that someone should be me.

But the Standard is not mine, and it is not written for my tenure. It is written to outlast my involvement in the company that carries my name. If the day comes when I am no longer the one defending it, the obligation does not expire. It transfers. Whoever holds custody after me inherits the same duty and the same limits: they may raise this Standard freely, and they may lower it only in daylight, on the record, with their own name attached.

That is the commitment. It does not expire.
